Sweet Relief

I have not been blogging much, and for those of you that read my rants and ideas, my apologies to you.  I have been engrossed in writing my new project and editing some older projects.

But I wanted to tell you all about an amazing new (well, okay… new to me but from 2006) book:

“Sweet Relief-The Marla Ruzicka Story”

Here is a link to who she was: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marla_Ruzicka

Marla Ruzicka led an extraordinary life and I recommend the book. The world was blessed to have her be a part of it for the short time that she lived.

For those of you that don’t know who Marla was: she was a relief worker who devoted her life to helping save the rights and lives of those civilian casualties left over during the US led attacks in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in many other countries abroad….if there was a good cause, chances are she was behind it.  At the same time Marla also personally fought with mental illness via battling a ‘bi-polar’ disorder of her own.

So go pick up the book! Or you just could wait and see Kirsten Dunst play her in the film based on the book slated for 2009. Either way you will win.  But you’re better off with her book, because it truly shows the fact Marla was a genuine force of nature to be reckoned with.

Have a great weekend all,
